Round Robin Swap is Official!

I sent out an email earlier to the participants!

Here is the list of participants...
1. Connie (moved to the front of the pack as she is leaving on vacation)
2. Natalie
3. Carol
4. Judy
5. Diane
6. Georgia
7. Theresa

Please try to get your embellishment(s) done in three days and ship to the next person on the list! I have included an extra card for a girl that lives in Austria! She wanted to participate but due to the cost of shipping via air mail to and from Austria I figured we could make her a card and I would send it to her! :o)

I am excited about this as it is the first kind of swap of any kind that I have hosted! I can't wait to see what your creative minds have come up with!

We are back safe and sound!

We had a wonderful time visiting my in-laws in Memphis. All six boys and girls made it along with mom and dad. Talk about overcrowding! LOL There were 25 of us in the house most of the time. It was so hot....HOW HOT WAS IT? It is over 100 most days with heat index of 115! We could let the little ones out to play from 8-10 am then back in the house. We went to the mall one night and at 10 pm it was 97! Just sweating thinking about it!

I am prepped for the big scrapbook stamp camp this Saturday. I have to get 5 cards made tonight for the 10-10 swap that my downline holds once a month so I can delivery them tomorrow. I also need to work on a full card swap from the new mini that is due to ship out on Monday.

My MIL and DIL will be visiting Sunday evening, staying the night and taking off Monday morning when we leave for work so this is another busy week for us until next Monday! I am so thankful that they will be able to stop for the evening to visit. We have not seen mom in about 4 years and 2 years since seeing dad. It's great to have that time together...I have some AWESOME in-laws! They are wonderful God-fearing people who accept you for who you are. They don't try to change you and they don't condemn you. That is hard to come by for in-laws! Thank you Lord! :o)

Ready for vacation!

I am not sure how often I will be on in the next week. James and I are headed for Memphis, Tennessee for his immediate family reunion. Mom, Dad and Jerry have already hit the road from Arizona, we are leaving very early tomorrow morning, Art and Ronda will be pulling out of Wisconsin on Friday morning, and Angie and Greg will be flying out of Phoenix late Thursday night. The only one not showing is Dawn as she couldn't get away for more than two days from Wisconsin. I know it takes us about 12 hours to drive down and they are further north than us.

Here is one more added treat for the 6 x 6 scrapbook that we will be doing August 18! Enjoy!

Christmas Scrapbook Stamp Camp Prep

Today I am prepping for the Christmas Scrapbook Stamp Camp in two weeks. What a blast I am having playing with the new Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit!

We will be doing 20 pages and I know there is going to be LOTS left for them to add more to their scrapbook if they want! The sample one I am putting together now is going to be my reveal gift to my secret sister at church in December! :o)

Is it worth the increase in price? I would have to say yes! Oh those textured papers are so nice and the stickers are definitely easily repositionable. Here is a sneak peek to what we will be doing! I don't want to add a lot here because I want the girls to be surprised by how nice the pages turn out!

UPDATE!
I got 20 pages done...and what do I have left? 2 full sheets of textured cardstock, 3 sheets of pattern paper, 5 half sheets of 12 x 12 and tons of adhesive diecuts! So I am going to have a little something to eat and then throw together some cards with the left overs. Hmmm, and if you use whisper white for your cards...how many do you think I can make with what is left!

Round Robin Swap!

I am hosting a Round Robin Swap! What is that????

I will start out with making full cards for each player. I will send those to the first person on the list who will add an embellishment or two (cardstock layers, ribbon, stamping, brads, eyelets, etc.). When they are finished they will send the cards to the next person on the list. The cards will continue to make their way through the list of participants. When the last person has added their embellishments they will send the cards back to me. I will then in turn send each of the participants one of the cards.

If you would like to sign up please email me at tcates@lpemail.com to be added to the list. Minimum of 5, maximum of 8 players! Sign up by AUGUST 15. Cards will be sent to the first player, Natalie, on August 20. Each player will have three days to complete their portion of the cards.

There are currently 3 players! Come join the fun! :o)
