Cute Little Purse Photo Books

2:40 PM Posted In , , Edit This 0 Comments »

I made three of these cute little photo books - great for a grandma to carry in her purse! So easy to make!

1. Take a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock and cut it into three equal parts (4").
2. Score each at 4 and 8"
3. Fold each and "work" in the folds.
4. Tape together one end of two of the sheets. This will give you five blocks in a row.
5. Tape the center block of the five to the center block of the one with three.
6. Cut your layering squares as follows: 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4.
7. You will find, as I did, the top squares will need to be cut 3 3/4 x 3 1/2, 3 1/2 x 3 1/4, 3 1/4 x 3 otherwise it will overlay the edges more because of the "binding" edges of the cover.
8. Cut a piece of ribbon approximately 16". Tape to front and back before applying the layers.
9. Taa daa! So quick and cute!

Have fun and let me know if you try this cute and easy little book for your family gift this year!

Some odd and ends...with more to come...

She took all the pictures from our family reunion in Tennessee this summer and made everyone a scrapbook calendar from snapfish.com. On each b-day and anniversary is a picture of the couple or individual. For extended family members that were not there they still put their names on their b-days. It was great to see that we will be able to enjoy this for the whole year! She also included a burned CD with all the pictures too.

This is the cover of the calendar....

Back Row: Greg, Angie, Art, Sherrie, Dawn, Craig, Jerry, Benjamin
Middle Row: James, Theresa, Tom, Detta, Chrissy, Amanda, Sammy
Front Row: Leah, Courtney, Kayla, Sarah, Belle, Maddie, Gabby, Jake
Missing are a WHOLE LOT! LOL

I am not sure how often I will be on in the next week. James and I are headed for Memphis, Tennessee for his immediate family reunion. Mom, Dad and Jerry have already hit the road from Arizona, we are leaving very early tomorrow morning, Art and Ronda will be pulling out of Wisconsin on Friday morning, and Angie and Greg will be flying out of Phoenix late Thursday night. The only one not showing is Dawn as she couldn't get away for more than two days from Wisconsin. I know it takes us about 12 hours to drive down and they are further north than us.

Here is one more added treat for the 6 x 6 scrapbook that we will be doing August 18! Enjoy!

Christmas Scrapbook Stamp Camp Prep

11:10 AM Posted In , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
Today I am prepping for the Christmas Scrapbook Stamp Camp in two weeks. What a blast I am having playing with the new Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit!

We will be doing 20 pages and I know there is going to be LOTS left for them to add more to their scrapbook if they want! The sample one I am putting together now is going to be my reveal gift to my secret sister at church in December! :o)

Is it worth the increase in price? I would have to say yes! Oh those textured papers are so nice and the stickers are definitely easily repositionable. Here is a sneak peek to what we will be doing! I don't want to add a lot here because I want the girls to be surprised by how nice the pages turn out!

UPDATE!
I got 20 pages done...and what do I have left? 2 full sheets of textured cardstock, 3 sheets of pattern paper, 5 half sheets of 12 x 12 and tons of adhesive diecuts! So I am going to have a little something to eat and then throw together some cards with the left overs. Hmmm, and if you use whisper white for your cards...how many do you think I can make with what is left!
