Flower Card

Supplies needed:

1 - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" cardstock, scored (Bashful Blue used)
1 - 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" cardstock (Certainly Celery used)
1 - 3" x 1 1/4" cardstock (Bashful Blue used)
1 - 2 3/4" x 1" neutral (Whisper White used)
1 - Scrap of Designer Paper (Picnic used)
Ticket Corner punch
1 3/8" Circle punch
Brad
Sentiment (Sincere Salutations used)
Ink (Basic Black used)

1. Punch out 8 circles from the DP with punch.

2. Place your fingertip on one side of the circle and bend the other end over your finger.

3. Press down to crease and then bend over to make the petal.

4. Repeat until all 8 circles are folded.
5. Once done, place the first petal on your paper.
6. Continue placing around the petals, meeting the points in the middle and overlapping the previous petal just a bit.

7. Using a Crop-a-dile, punch a small hole in the middle of the flower to place the brad. One thing you can also do is push the brad through the center and the background paper. Brads have a sharp point which allows you to do this without any destruction to your card!

8. Punch the corners of the celery paper and the two smaller pieces with the ticket punch.
9. Layer and complete your card.

Have fun! :)

A very quiet weekend...

...considering it is a holiday weekend!

Friday we committed dad's ashes to the ground at a very small family get-together at the cemetery. My sis and her boyfriend drove up from Kokomo for a few days so we could do it this weekend. We thought about doing it on his birthday but she is going to start college and that is the week of exams so there was no way she could get here then. It will be nice to remember him though on this weekend...Memorial Weekend.

Saturday my mom and I went to town rummaging. It's been a long time since the two of us have done that alone. We stopped at a few sales then went to Goodwill, thinking it was 50% off Saturday! LOL Of course, it wasn't...next week is! But we still shopped and I got Chad, the newest addition, quite a few onsies for the summer. They were so cute! One with Mickey, one with a dragon, one with Pooh, etc. I couldn't pass them up!

Today we went to church then came home. Travis took Stephen to see The Chronicles of Naria - Prince Capian so it is rather quiet this afternoon! James is reading, mom taking a nap and I am trying to update websites today.

Here are a few cards that I have been working on. The next post will be a tutorial on the fcard you see below. It was quite easy once I got going!

Hugs,
Theresa

A good weekend for stamping...

This will be a nice weekend for stamping. I think I will open the window and just stamp to stamp. I have a couple of cards that I have been working on for stamp camp...the only thing is that no one has rsvp for it.

I will download those cards along with any that I make tomorrow. Wish it was VSN weekend! That is coming in August. There will be some mini VSNs before then but I will need to get the schedule. I know the first one will be the last weekend of the month.

Hugs until later!
