I realize that I am SOOOO behind! I was laid off for two weeks with no access to a computer unless I went to town! Thank God I go back on Monday! WOOHOO!
I do have some pictures to share but will need to save them to a flash drive to post. I never think about bringing the thing with me when I come in.

We made the cutest necklace using the Hodge Podge hardware set and I can't wait to share it with you!
Also been going to FitZone for Women...lost 5 pounds and several inches in the month I have been going. When I went to Dr's appt a couple of weeks ago I had lost 9 pounds in two months. The one thing I am doing different is watching WHAT I eat and WHEN I eat. Keeping an online food journal on SparkPeople has also kept me accountable for what I am eating...trying to keep between 1300-1600 calories a day with 75-100 grams of protein!

WaterColor Stamp Camp March 2009
Here is a peek of the projects we did in March at Stamp Camp. :o) Enjoy!
The month started off as "Simply Scrappin' kit" but as I worked with my kit of choice for the month I really struggled with putting together cards that I liked so the last minute I changed my mind. I designed and prepped for this stamp camp in less than three hours. Must have been a God thing! :o

We used watercolor paper on all the cards with watercolor crayons and either blender pens or aqua painters. I love the way they turned out!
The weekly calendar was a CASE. We had went to a women's retreat at a near by church and one of the sessions to choose from was SU! demo...of course, I am going to that! :) She demoed the calendar using an 8 1/2 x 11 frame.

Been a LONG time!
Due to the economical downturn in our home, we let our internet go as a cost save. Hopefully things will be up and going again quickly now that James is back to work! Yoohoo! It's been four months since he was laid off and he went back to work yesterday.
I will have to take some pics of the current things we have worked on, save to a jump drive and update my site during lunch! :o)
What's happening in our little corner of the world?
My mom, son and I all joined a 12 week weight loss challenge. We are starting week four now. Last week for me was a BAD week; birthday, sick for two days, out to eat ALL day Sunday and Mother-Daughter banquet...needless to say the scale showed it. However, I brushed myself off and back on track today!
I joined FitZone. I need to get this weight off and since I had to start ALL over with teh six month weight loss management thing again I decided I am NOT going to just sit still and not do anything. Granted, it's going to tighten the budget but that just means that I pack my lunch and eat breakfast at home (which is better for you anyway!).
James has two books published and is about 2/3 of the way thru book three in the series. Not selling as he wished it did but they told him from the beginning that it will take a while. He also became a certified personal trainer during his lay-off.
My daughter and her three children are moving to Louisiana next Saturday! I'm gonna cry and pout! Imagine them 1000 miles away. WWAAAHHHH!

Elimination of Double Sided Stamps
The current stamps sets that are double-sided will remain so for the life of the set.
There is one set in the occasions mini that is also coming out double-sided (which was in production before this decision was made).
The exception to the rule will be alphabet sets and sets that come as part of a kit.

Change in Catalog Program Announced
Shelli announced during a teleconference that we will be going back to an annual catalog. This will become effective in July of 2009.
How does this mean?
How does this mean?
- Beginning in July 2009, we will go back to an annual catalog.
- The US Hispanic supplement will also become an annual catalog.
- The Décor Elements catalog will continue to be separate from the Idea Book & Catalog, and will come out twice a year.
- The mini catalog program will change to include three mini catalogs a year, each lasting for four months.
The mini catalogs will have a small selection of hostess sets available also so this will give you more of a choice when hosting a workshop / outside party.
This change comes from feedback on the current catalog program by both demonstrators and you, the customer.

Card Kits – Enough pre-cut cardstock and emellies for 10 cards, including envelopes and directions for $15.00, which includes shipping. These will be available every other month beginning in February. I will also give you a list of alternative stamp sets.

This has been a rough week with almost continuous back pain so hubby helped me out as best as he could. :) The hostess said no birthdays or Valentine's...either thank yous or no sayings. I decided to go no sayings so they could add their own. I'm pleased with the look! |
