My great-niece is celebrating her birthday this week. We are hosting her party today. Why is this a special day? She was born with poly hydrops and they didn't think she was going to make it. She had surgery at 2 weeks, was in the hospital for three months and was off and on the vent for almost two months of that three months. Today she is a bright, smiling little girl who you would never had guessed had been so ill. She truly is our $2 million baby!
I made this name frame for her using Friends & Flowers Simply Scrapping Kit, Headline Alphabets, Certainly Celery-Pumpkin Pie-Tempting Turquoise Inks, Pomegranate-Celery-Mustard Ribbons. (Picture is not very good...too yellow but was the best I could get it...not sure why!)
It's been a while since I have updated this site but I plan on making that up today! :o)
I bought a lateral filing cabinet from work yesterday and today will be a day of re-organizing and playing! I have to make a trip to Battle Creek today to drop off a swap that I totally spaced on! Then I will be taking pics of our full scrapbook and upload those too! The girls absolutely loved it! As a matter of fact one is going to make 3 more as Christmas gifts. My mom was so in love with the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit that she ordered one too!
So plan on getting a lot of emails today! :o) Enjoy, have fun and you can CASE any of these ideas today! I am off to get busy now. Be back later to post some more! :o)
Oh...I will be putting together some BLOG candy for 500 hits! I will post a pic of the BLOG candy, you comment on that post and when we hit 500 I will have my grandson pull a name out of the hat for those who left a comment!
I am not sure how often I will be on in the next week. James and I are headed for Memphis, Tennessee for his immediate family reunion. Mom, Dad and Jerry have already hit the road from Arizona, we are leaving very early tomorrow morning, Art and Ronda will be pulling out of Wisconsin on Friday morning, and Angie and Greg will be flying out of Phoenix late Thursday night. The only one not showing is Dawn as she couldn't get away for more than two days from Wisconsin. I know it takes us about 12 hours to drive down and they are further north than us.
Here is one more added treat for the 6 x 6 scrapbook that we will be doing August 18! Enjoy!

Today I am prepping for the Christmas Scrapbook Stamp Camp in two weeks. What a blast I am having playing with the new Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit!
We will be doing 20 pages and I know there is going to be LOTS left for them to add more to their scrapbook if they want! The sample one I am putting together now is going to be my reveal gift to my secret sister at church in December! :o)
Is it worth the increase in price? I would have to say yes! Oh those textured papers are so nice and the stickers are definitely easily repositionable. Here is a sneak peek to what we will be doing! I don't want to add a lot here because I want the girls to be surprised by how nice the pages turn out!
UPDATE!
I got 20 pages done...and what do I have left? 2 full sheets of textured cardstock, 3 sheets of pattern paper, 5 half sheets of 12 x 12 and tons of adhesive diecuts! So I am going to have a little something to eat and then throw together some cards with the left overs. Hmmm, and if you use whisper white for your cards...how many do you think I can make with what is left!
Looking through the catalog I have found a few stamp sets that I like...not really love. But I do really like all the new 2-sided designer series papers, the turn-about for brads and buttons, the chipboard items and the scrappin' kits. The only thing that disappoints me is the cost of the SS kits! However, they have told us that #1-the new die cut adhesives are repositionable for up to 24 hours, #2-all the patterned paper is now 2 sided and #3 it includes textured paper. I will have to purchase one just to find out for myself if they are worth the $7 jump in price!I am placing an order today for me and a couple of my girls as we are partcipating in a shoebox swap and a 50 card swap! Both require new "never before seen" stamp sets. I think I will order the Christmas SS kit too so I can begin putting together the Christmas 6x6 scrapbook that we will be doing in August.I will let you know about the kit and the costs...worth it or not? :o) Gotta go...time to get our hineys in gear and get to church...played hookey this morning from Crosstraining (Sunday School). Hope the "Principal" doesn't hold it against us! I am so thankful that we serve such an awesome, loving Father!God bless and have a wonderful SONday!Theresa
